  12.                     THIS IS A BETA TEST VERSION

  14.     It  should  not be treated as a release version.  It may take just
  15. up  disk  space or cause more Lemmings to die, your hard disks to stop
  16. spinning,  and  un-expected visits from old enemies.  It is definitely
  17. not   guaranteed   to   work,   and   does  not  come  with  completed
  18. documentation.

  20.     You  are  also  asked  NOT  to  re-distribute  this  file as newer
  21. versions are always available here.

  23.     If  you  have received this via the SAN file network, the contents
  24. are  OBSOLETE.   The file has been modified and distributed against my
  25. wishs.   Delete  it from your system, there will be no support for the
  26. modified obsolete versions distributed via SAN.

  28.   If  any of the above bothers you, just delete this version from your
  29. system, and forget that it exists.

  33.     Versions  of wpl.library other than nn.nn.01 make use of 'KPrintF'
  34. debug  statements.  If one is using the internal port (serial.device),
  35. they  *MUST* run SUSHI which re-directs this output to the appropriate
  36. location.   Failure  to  do  so will cause network session failures to
  37. occur!
  38.     The  WB  2.1  Version will NOT give you the full version number of
  39. the library, use instead:  "SEARCH LIBS:wpl.library $VER:"
  40.  
  41.     Operation  of  this  product with versions of libraries other than
  42. those  included  (either  older  OR  newer)  may produce unpredictable
  43. results.  In particular, the versions of wpl.library, wplemsi.library,
  44. xprzedzap.library  and xferq.library herein, while they are completelt
  45. compatible  and  will  work  with  other  wpl  mailers, either include
  46. bug-fixes or features not avialable in versions available elsewhere.

  48.     This   product   is   in  constant  development  and  is  archived
  49. automatically  EVERY morning.  In the normal course of development, it
  50. is  possible  that  as  new  features  are added, bugs are introduced.
  51. While  I  strive  to  remove these as quickly as possible, this is not
  52. always  the  case.   In most cases, it will be fixed in the next day's
  53. archive  or  in  the  unarchived  version  of a module.  All .rexx and
  54. .wplrx modules are freqable under the filename and are always current.
  55.     Please,   READ   the  History.Shelter  file  to  note  changes  in
  56. configuration, operation or documentation.

  58.     The ROOF System serves as my development testbed for new features.
  59. When I am satisfied with the operation of these features under ROOF, I
  60. then  add  them  to  the  freely  available Shelter Mailers.  I do not
  61. always  test  them  though, that is YOUR job as a BETA Tester.  Please
  62. note that I am famous for 'unmatched quote' errors :)

  64.     Bug  reports  not  submitted  and  received  on  the  same  day as
  65. generation  of  the  archive, may quite possibly be too late.  This is
  66. especially  true  if  the  bug  occurs  on  startup  or  during normal
  67. sessions.   Bug Fixes, enhancements and announcements for all Roof and
  68. Shelter  products are automatically posted nightly in the ROOF_PROJECT
  69. and  FALCON_CBCS  echos.  These are also prepended to the History file
  70. in  each  archive.   It  is  highly  recommended that all beta testers
  71. receive this echo and read the history file.
  72.     Major announcements are posted in the FIDONET echos:
  73.         FALCON_CBCS, AMY_POINT, AMIGA_SYSOP, WELMAT
  74.     and the AmigaNet echos:
  75.         COMMS_AMY, NETDEV_AMY, SYSOP_AMY
  76.     as well as in the usenet newsgroup:
  77.         comp.sys.amiga.datacomm.

  79.     I  find  it  strange  that  I have to add this, I had thought this
  80. would be obvious:
  81.         BETA TESTERS SHOULD NOT POST BUG REPORTS IN THESE ECHOS.
